Integrative Physical Therapy

My hope for every woman is that she has faith in her body. That she can trust it to function and move gracefully through its beautiful design, building daily strength to live life as she envisions for herself.

Integrative Physical Therapy:
A Mission for Healing

When you’re uncomfortable, you’re not living your best life. If something within your body system is out of alignment, it’s impossible to obtain optimal pelvic and abdominal health.

It all matters because it’s all interwoven – physically and emotionally. My gentle approach to integrative physical therapy understands, appreciates, and aligns restorative practices with your values so that you own your health and all the decisions that support your healing.

Through abdominal and pelvic health exercises that make you feel healthy and strong, I’ll help you step into your power as a woman – and recover faith that your body will support you through your life’s leading roles as a caregiver, partner, and friend to your loved ones.

Why Take an Integrative Approach?

Did you know that:

  • What you eat and how you sleep can influence your pain levels?

  • That your neck and shoulder posture may be contributing to leakage and pelvic pressure?

  • That the way your organs move influence how the rest of your body moves?

Your body is connected in a million ways. So many physical therapists will focus on one part of the body and ignore other physical and emotional stressors. I do things differently because I believe the whole body and mind are connected.

I’m here to tell you there are so many ways to live in harmony with your body! I’ll help you find those paths through a comfortable and holistic approach to your healing and health.

Recovery from abdominal surgery

My integrative approach can be applied to almost any part of the body. However, I am especially passionate about helping women recover following abdominal surgery. Referral to physical therapy is not standard following abdominal surgery and most women do not realize that there is support available for them during this time.

You absolutely deserve to be empowered and guided toward a full recovery!

Care following abdominal surgery typically includes:

  • Mobilization of both viscera (organs) and scar tissue to ensure full return to movement

  • Specific exercises to ensure that your ab muscles (that were cut through) remember how to support you!

  • Training in hypopressive exercise to give you independence in mobilizing internal adhesions and restoring abdominal wall function
