Body Image, Bathing Suit Season, and Finding a Healthier Standard
It’s bathing suit season—and I have a lot of thoughts.
As a woman who grew up in the ’90s, I spent years believing “skinny” was the goal. It took getting sick to realize that chasing a smaller body wasn’t the same thing as pursuing health.
Now, as a mom to a little girl, I think a lot about the messages I want her to grow up with. I want her to know that her worth has nothing to do with her size—and that caring for your body doesn’t have to mean fighting against it.
That’s ultimately why I’ve started talking more openly about the aesthetic benefits of Low Pressure Fitness.
You can want to feel strong, confident, and beautiful without believing your body needs to be “fixed.”
You might not need to fight your body.
You might just need to learn how to work with it.
How Hypopressive Exercise Changed My Postpartum Recovery: My First Six Months with Low Pressure Fitness
After experiencing a third-degree tear, a grade 3 bladder prolapse, and a grade 3 rectocele following childbirth, I spent my first six months postpartum intentionally rebuilding my body. In this honest, week-by-week recovery story, I share what helped me heal, how Low Pressure Fitness hypopressive exercises transformed my recovery after six weeks postpartum, and why I believe a gentle, pressure-conscious approach can help women regain strength, confidence, and pelvic health.
